No special steps required, everything just worked as soon as I selected Proton Experimental in the compatibility tab of the game properties window.
doesn't work with proton 6 for me, tries to run directx install script then doesn't launch.
If you don't mind not being able to switch out of the game once playing, it's fine. Ran out of the box with Proton 5.13-6
Would not allow me to switch to other apps with alt-tab. Held mouse in window, so couldn't click outside of the window. Only occurs after starting game.

Borderless fullscreen was not working properly but that might have been a window manager issue.
Changing graphical details, specially fullscreen/windowed caused the game to crash in regular Steam Proton. In Proton-GE however it worked flawlessly.
Changing to fullscreen (ultrawide display) crashed always in steam proton. In Proton-GE (from GloriousEggroll) it worked flawlessly.
Пока пытался запускать на стандартном драйвере вылетала при загрузке тренеровочной мисси, но после установки PRO-версии драйвера от производителя видеокарты (с оф. сайта) всё заработало OK)
Запустилась на Xubuntu 18.04.1x64 было видно главное меню но на этапе загрузки тренеровочной миссии завершилась аварийно. Запускал и обычный вариант и 32bit, с версиями proton: 3.7-8 3.16-4 3.16-8 beta Так же пробовал запускать новую игру вместо тренеровки - та же история.
