a cult classic, and for good reason. Cortex Command functions on the steamdeck with only minor extra jank.
Works perfectly, just be sure to force Proton, otherwise the game folder will be empty
Controls don't work right, even when trying to rebind them. Game should natively support a controller but something isn't right.
Neither the fan-made Linux native build, nor the Windows version run through Proton 638, loaded the workshop mods I'm subscribed to.
Works fine with proton. Native doesn't work anymore.
Mouse works only properly when switching to full screen.
If you set to enforce Proton, it just works flawless
The linux depot is empty, you need to open propreties and enable "force the use of a specific compatibilty tool" and select proton

Cortex Command had Linux support, but the dev abandoned it. Still, if you choose to Force use Proton in the Properties window, it's install and run Ok.

Just runs.

This game advertises native Linux support, but it does not work (developer did not upload Linux binaries to Steam and lied on Linux support to get his game into original Humble Bundle). Thanks to new Steam update it is now possible to run this game on Linux through Proton - I tried it and it works perfectly.

This is a native linux game.

This is a NATIVE Linux game

An error occurred while updating Cortex Command (missing executable)

For once, it seems to be a problem with Steam itself. Steam does not download the game at all (game size is reported as 0 bytes) so of course launching fails with the error "executable not found".

Trys to install the linux version which doesn't exist and isn't even listed on the store page
