Played this game from start to finish with a controller. No issues.

Out of the box you get unusuable black screen when you start the game from the game start menu. I needed to add "-screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080" for my double monitor setup. Once done the actual game starts normally. Without it you just cannot get into the game play itself.
Some subtitles can be difficult to read.
Black bands at the top and bottom sometimes seem to be displayed in a wrong way
Played through the whole game without any Proton specific issues
With current v1.1.1 of the game, graphics glitch may occur if your monitor is not 16:9 aspect ratio, this happens on Windows too. Game does not have any built-in resolution options, but to workaround this you can force the game to launch in a specific resolution by setting a Steam launch option, for example for 2560x1440 resolution set launch option "-screen-fullscreen 1 -screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440"
