Intro cutscene played fine. New game, opening cutscene froze my system. -d3d11 fixes it.
Tried the demo, worked great OOTB
-d3d11
Desktop mode forces 4:3 but game mode is always correct aspect ratio
If you don't use -d3d11 and Proton 8.0-5 you cannot play the game completely. It will crash in Mean Street with a black screen when you try to proceed with the story or if you enter the theater.

Trying to load certain key areas causes crashes, making it impossible to progress. Runs perfectly fine otherwise.
All graphics set to medium
Game would occasionally force a 4:3 aspect ratio on startup, would work again if you just closed and opened it again.
Attempting to travel to certain key areas just makes the game hang on a black or white screen, making it impossible to progress.

I played through the entire demo using the game's default settings and it worked great. By default the game set the correct resolution, Anti Aliasing was maxed and all other settings we set one below max. I averaged 60 fps with occational dips, very enjoyable experience and I am now even more excited for the full release of the game at the end of next month.
Works flawlessly with the default settings which are pretty much max. Looks very good also

[DEMO] overally really great experience, should work perfectly on release, as expected
alt tab will only work if you use the Meta key after and click on the application you wish to switch to
the mouse feels a bit weird but nothing bad
(Demo) ran perfectly!

I downloaded the demo the minute it came out and was a little scared that it wouldnt run well on linux, but it runs without any issues at all with all settings at max!
