normal fullscreen looks grainy and borderless has a window tooltip when you hover the mouse at the top of the screen slightly distorting image until it refreshes
the game simply refuses to work on my main drive but runs fine on all secondary patitions(including an NTFS partition that has a windows boot as secondary OS)
the patch from the publisher's website also works fine installing with protontricks
Not sure if the tab out issue is KDE related or not (KDE 5.27.6 Wayland). Not really a major issue regardless.
Minor issue: Tabbing in and out caused momentary compresing of screen ratio. Didn't break anything, just kind of weird to see and not something that happens on Windows.
I bought the content restoration patch from JAST USA and executed it with
protontricks-launch --appid 1518430 /path/to/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/"Eiyu Senki Gold"/esgold_steam_patch_v1.01.exe
Yes, the patch needs to be placed in the game directory beforehand. I did not at any point attempt to run the game without the content patch, so I can't speak for the All Ages experience.
You can also install the uncensor patch by running protontricks 1518430 --gui
Run explorer>click and run the esgold_steam_patch_v1.01.exe
installed on my pc and deck, installed the r-18 patch on pc and moved the files from the pc to steam deck overriding files and works with patch
