Sometimes, if the steering wheel is connected, the game launches with a fatal error. To fix this, just unplug your wheel, open the game, go to Settings > Controls, plug the wheel back in, and you'll be able to select it in the settings.
Turning off motion blur is optional, able to squeeze 60 FPS at native resolution on the lowest settings

Not exactly a bug, but if you're getting no response from a controller, keyboard and mouse may still be selected in the control menu.
Medium draw distance was still too close and low shadows remove almost all shadows; turning those up are able to get on average 40 FPS, sometimes peaks at 60, can drop to 30.
As long as you are fine driving without a wheel, perfectly playable
Game crashes/does not start up with a driving wheel conntected (in my case Logitech G920)
Keyboard and mouse do work without issues, though.
