First time Setup with Mouse. Set Control scheme to Gamepad
This game feels just like it was made for the deck. Not only performance wise but the whole game play experience is great on the deck. Clear recommendation for me!

used an older proton version to fix no audio

Game runs great, no issues

[Native] Window pops up, starts loading and then crashes. Can't even send a crash report, saying "couldn't resolve hostname".
Some information about my setup: I am running Gnome 44.2, on an Nvidia laptop, with the entire xorg session being rendered using the Nvidia card. I also have my laptop hooked up to a second external monitor.
I've tried changing a few of the settings on the launcher like the resolution and what monitor it should appear on, but nothing works.
Should work without tinkering, just default Steam proton, but i feel like for my hardware GE works a bit better.
Important: if it won't start or you have dll errors like binkw32.dll mss32.dll then uninstall both Overlord: Raising Hell (if installed) and Overlord. install then Overlord first. Go to settings and force proton (I used GE but normal one should work) start Overlord. It should boot up and get you to menu screen.
Then install Overlord: Raising Hell and force proton. Start it up and it should also show the menu. Then you can Play Raising Hell.
No cloud save support. Gamesaves do not transfer to Raising Hell DLC.
Works on steamdeck after using the touchscreen to set the controls to Gamepad.
Before starting New Game, select Options > Input Method > Gamepad.
Be warned, this game has no cloud saves. Deleting the game to save space will delete your profile and expansion slots. If you purchased the Overlord DLC bundle, use the Raising Hell launcher instead of the base game. If you play the base game then install the DLC later, your gamesave will not transfer.
INSTALL THIS ONLY TO GET THE FILES NEEDED FOR RAISING HELL. THEN INSTALL RAISING HELL AND RUN FROM THERE SO YOU CAN PLAY FULL VERSION
40hz 40fps 9w tdp
Save files need to be manually transfereed to the expansion by going into compatdata
Installing the expansion disables this version on deck when they should both boot to the same exe. However since we can launch from the expansion this is irrelevant
This version of the game works fine but is needless. The expansion installs as a standalone but installs files to the same folder. Installing Rising Hell makes the deck not want to launch this one anymore, which is weird since on pc this one also launches the expansion, but just launch rising hell. If you played this one first you need to move the
pfx/drive_/ user/documents/Overlord folder from this games compat data to Rising Hells compatdata in the same path inside the Rising Hell compatdata. Saves are compatible, just need to be moved as the games share install folders but not compatdata folders. I suppose you could symlink those but there is no need. Just move your saves and launch from the expansion
Alt-tabbing causes game to have unresponsive elements when returning (like borked menus and unresponsive movement keys)
Proton version has no issues
As others mentioned native version has input lag, makes game almost uplayable for me. Proton version runs smoothly.

Starting the game first time a configuration screen appears. Set the resolution under video tab and under controls tab make sure to tick gamepad option in order to make the gamepad layout works.
Native Linux version won't start, just gives a black screen. Proton version runs great.

Proton runs well. Native sucks with massive input lag. Fsync good.
Some voice lines are either missing or not playing.
Aside from the control bug that happens sometimes, it runs fine and is playable.
Sometimes when clicking to command minons it acted as if you were holding it down until you clicked a few times yourself to "un-stick" it.

No voices at all. Sound and music exist.
In Native version of the game the same problem exist (absense of voice lines).
