this worked fine on the last laptop i played it on (this fails with proton 6-3 as well so it's not a regression), which makes me believe this bug is specific to the (probably pretty rare) hardware i'm using.

i suspect you'll likely get good results if you're using something more mainstream than a 6-year old macbook
